Sedgman Novopro Laboratory expands its capabilities

For over a decade, the Sedgman Novopro laboratory has been at the forefront of testing solutions for brine-related projects. Now, with a recent expansion, we’ve enhanced our large-scale testing capabilities to better support our clients in salt, magnesium, potash, soda ash, and lithium processing.

Our upgraded facility enables more advanced testing of salt processing steps, including:

• Evaporation – producing salts like schoenite through vacuum evaporation.
• Leaching and dissolution – Evaluating reaction kinetics and dissolution paths.
• Crystallization – Closed-loop crystallization at controlled temperatures.
• Conversion – Temperature-controlled conversion of kainite to schoenite.
• Settling tests – Optimizing residence time for clarifying process liquors.

With new equipment like the FPGR 50 (50L agitated jacketed glass reactor) and PGR-3 (3L jacketed glass reactor), we’re delivering more precise, scalable, and efficient solutions for our clients.
